Delaware River Basin Commission Developing Wayne County Drilling Regulations

The Times-Tribune reports that as drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale formation becomes a reality throughout much of our region, the Delaware River Basin Commission, which regulates activities impacting the watershed and which makes up most of Wayne County, is developing its own standards for natural gas drilling.

Though exploration may continue, no production will happen until the Commission is satisfied that its standards will be met.  The Commission could take months, or even up to a year, to reach its decision about what "safe drilling" should mean.

Careful progress is important both to the Commission and to the Northern Wayne Property Owners Alliance, homeowners who have collectively leased at least 100,000 acres to corporate developers.  With all these commissions, alliances and corporations in the mix, who can you trust to represent your own interests?

If you need sound legal advice about what the natural gas drilling might mean for you, a Marcellus Shale attorney from Rogan Law can help.  Well versed in the legal implications of Marcellus Shale projects, we can help you protect your interests and advocate on your behalf in what can feel life a cacophony of competing voices.

Contact Rogan Law if you need a Marcellus Shale lawyer working for you.
